Conditions for normal operation of WEDM molybdenum wire:
1. The gap between the molybdenum wire and the machined surface of the workpiece must be maintained, and the width of the gap depends on the working voltage, the amount of processing and other processing conditions.
2. When WEDM machine tool is processed, it must be carried out in the liquid medium with certain insulation, such as kerosene, saponified oil, deionized water, etc. The higher insulation is required to facilitate the generation of pulsed spark discharge. The liquid medium also has the function of eliminating corrosion products and cooling electrodes in the gap. If the gap between molybdenum wire and workpiece surface is too large, the voltage between electrodes can not break through the dielectric between electrodes, it can not generate spark discharge; if the gap is too small, it is easy to form short-circuit connection and can not generate spark discharge.
